Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who was known in the late 90s for being the girlfriend of Hugh Grant, is the former English model. Hurley became the focus of media after Grant received worldwide recognition for the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the film wearing the Versace gown that was secured with gold safetypins. One of the highlights of Hurley's professional experience is her relationship with the cosmetics firm Estee Lauder. Her first modeling gig was at Estee Lauder, when she was 29 years old. She's been modeling since 1995 to promote their cosmetics, and in particular perfumes such as Sensuous Intuition or Pleasures. The most famous of her roles is her part as Vanessa Kensington, in the famous spy film International Man of Mystery (2007) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley is currently a model and designer for the brand's beachwear line. Perry's early attempts at fame with mainstream artists were not successful. Perry was signed to two different labels, and then dropped by both labels before there was a release date for any of her recordings. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. Ur So Gay's title song was a fun and playful single that garnered little or no interest. I Kissed a Girl was a more assertive ode sexism with a sharp edged electro-pop rhythm. I Kissed a Girl was an instant hit, but the song quickly caused controversy. Critics argued that it encouraged sexual relationships between gay and straight men, and others felt that the story that depicted in it attracted more male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl was an immediate hit for Perry's debut album One of the Boys in 2008, thanks to the combination of excitement and music. Hot N Cold's sharp, energetic second single also proved popular. The album Perry composed in large part sold over three million copies.
